The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is preparing plans for pavement rehabilitation on Interstate 95 in Westport. The project will address both eastbound and westbound lanes, with enhancements to the existing guiderail, lighting, and drainage systems. Additionally, the right shoulders will be widened to improve safety. The work will extend from the Saugatuck River bridge crossing for approximately four miles to the Sasco Creek bridge crossing.

The design phase is expected to conclude by Spring 2028, with construction projected to begin in Spring 2029. This timeline depends on project approval, funding availability, acquisition of necessary rights-of-way, and environmental permits. Funding for this project will be covered by ninety percent federal funds and ten percent state funds.

CTDOT emphasizes its commitment to keeping the public informed and involved in such projects. Community feedback is considered vital for the project's development.
