NFIB recently organized a virtual event featuring energy analyst Isaac Orr, who is the founder and Vice President of Research at Always On Energy Research. The session focused on the costs associated with renewable energy and electrification mandates in New England. NFIB members had the opportunity to engage directly with Orr, asking questions about the future of the region's energy system.

According to a report by Always On titled "The Cost of Going Green In New England," mandates and energy policies across Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont are projected to increase costs for ratepayers by $815 billion by 2050. These states share an electric grid, meaning all residents will be affected by these financial implications.

Isaac Orr is known for his work in energy modeling and his writings on electricity policy and environmental issues. His articles have been published in outlets such as The Wall Street Journal and USA Today.

For further inquiries regarding the event or related advocacy matters, Julianna Rauf, Grassroots Manager at NFIB, can be contacted via email at julianna.rauf@nfib.org.
