Learn to transform clothing that no longer inspires you. Sandy is a practicing sustainable clothing shopper and enjoys transforming consignment shop finds into fashionable ‘new’ outfits. Sustainable fashion doesn't have to be potato chip bag dresses or earth toned tunics! Learn about ways to use your clothes, your style, in a sustainable way! As a bonus, Sandy will share clever ways to repurpose old wedding dresses.

Don't miss the Upcycle Fashion exhibit in the Granby Public Library main display case through the month of April!

About the presenter:

Sandy Salazar has lived in Granby for 33 years with her (wonderfully supportive) husband Bill and two great kids: Kelleanne and Garret. Until 2017 she worked for 33 years at GE in project management and IT. Sandy enjoyed her passion of quilting, sewing and needlework since a child. She particularly loves the freedom and fun of free motion quilting, designing custom fiber creations and sewing her own clothes.

Sandy is a practicing sustainable clothing shopper and likes nothing better than finding the perfect dress at the consignment shop! She loves the challenge of enhancing/fixing/combining consignment clothes with those from her closet to create a ‘new’ garment.
