The Connecticut Department of Agriculture (CT DoAg) has announced the availability of the 2025 Agricultural Enhancement Grant guidance online. Eligible applicants, including Connecticut municipalities, regional councils of governments, and agricultural non-profit organizations, can submit proposals for projects that impact or support industry viability. The application period opens on January 17, 2025, and closes on February 28, 2025.
Agriculture Commissioner Bryan P. Hurlburt emphasized the department's commitment to expanding support for innovative projects in agriculture. "We are committed to expanding our reach and supporting innovative projects that address the evolving challenges in agriculture. By fostering collaboration and inclusivity, we aim to strengthen the sustainability and growth of farming in our state," he stated.
This year introduces grant tiers with specific funding limits. Tier 1 offers a maximum award of $5,000 with a required match of 25% cash or in-kind for projects lasting up to 18 months. Tier 2 provides up to $49,999 with a required match of 40% cash or in-kind for projects up to two years.
