Census Bureau: 79.4% of people in Connecticut were old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 3,605,330 citizens living in Connecticut in 2021, 79.4% were old enough to vote, equating to 2,860,839 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 1,387,946 were male, constituting 48.5%, and 1,472,893 were female, making up 51.5%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Connecticut during 2021 was higher than the national average, which stands at 77.5%.
