The No. 10 Yale women’s lacrosse team will host Harvard at Reese Stadium on April 19, with the game set to begin at noon and broadcast on ESPN+. The event is part of a doubleheader, as the Yale men’s lacrosse team will play UAlbany later in the day.

This matchup is notable as it coincides with Senior Day for the Bulldogs. Six senior players—Megan Kitagawa, Jordan Messina, Ashley Newman, Emmy Pascal, Bella Saviano, and Sarah Waits—will be recognized after the game for their contributions over four seasons. This group has helped lead Yale to two NCAA Tournament wins in each of the past two years and appearances in the NCAA Quarterfinals. They were also instrumental in securing an Ivy League Championship in 2024—the program’s first since 2003—and back-to-back Ivy League Tournament titles.

During their tenure, this senior class contributed to several records and milestones. The team achieved a nine-game winning streak during their sophomore year and had seven-game winning streaks in each of the last two seasons. Overall, they have compiled a record of 55-15 overall and are tied as the winningest class in school history with a conference record of 21-5.

In recent action, Yale improved its season record to 11-2 (4-0 Ivy League) after defeating Penn by holding them to just four goals—the lowest total allowed by Yale this season—with strong performances from goalkeeper Niamh Pfaff and defender Emmy Pascal. The Bulldogs have also performed well at home with a record of 40-5 at Reese Stadium since Tsai Lacrosse Field House opened in 2021.

Yale currently leads all Ivy League teams in RPI rankings and is ranked second nationally for scoring defense this season. Captain Emmy Pascal was named one of twenty-five nominees for the Tewaaraton Award recognizing top college women’s lacrosse players.

Looking ahead, Yale has already secured a spot in the upcoming Ivy League Tournament scheduled for early May. The winner will earn an automatic berth into the NCAA Tournament.
