The University of Connecticut softball program announced on Apr. 17 a change to its upcoming weekend series against the Providence Friars at Burrill Family Field.

The adjustment was made because of expected bad weather in the Storrs area on Sunday, April 19. UConn said that both teams will now play a doubleheader on Saturday, April 18, with the first game starting at 2:30 p.m. and the second game scheduled for 5:00 p.m. The opening game of the series will still take place as planned on Friday, April 17 at 7:00 p.m.

According to UConn, “All tickets for Sunday’s game will be valid for both games on Saturday. For ticket assistance, please visit UConnTickets.com or call (877) 288-2666.”

Fans are encouraged to follow UConn Softball’s social media pages for further updates regarding the schedule or any additional changes.

The revised schedule aims to ensure that all games can be played despite anticipated weather disruptions.
