Three members of the Yale Bulldogs squash teams were named All-Americans by the College Squash Association, according to an April 17 announcement. Senior Tad Carney and sophomore Heng Wai Wong were selected for the first team, while junior Lachlan Sutton earned second-team recognition.
The awards highlight individual achievements within the Yale squash program at the close of the season. These honors reflect both athletic performance and academic achievement among team members.
Carney received All-America honors for a third consecutive year. He played at the No. 1 position on the men’s team and helped lead Yale to a semifinal appearance in the CSA Team Championship. Carney was also recognized as First Team All-Ivy this season, previously earned CSA All-America accolades as a sophomore and junior, was a finalist for the Skillman Award, and is noted as a CSA Scholar-Athlete.
Wong represented Yale on the women’s side as its only All-American this year, earning her second straight selection. She has held the No. 1 position in both seasons with Yale and received All-Ivy League recognition again this year. Wong also advanced to the semifinals of this year’s CSA Individual Championship.
Sutton secured his second consecutive second-team All-America honor alongside an All-Ivy League selection and status as a CSA Scholar-Athlete.
Carney will graduate this spring, while Wong and Sutton are expected to return next season.
