The Conference of New England announced on May 12 that seven members of the Hartford Hawks women’s softball team were selected for its major awards and all-conference teams.
This recognition highlights the achievements of student-athletes in the conference and marks a successful season for the Hartford Hawks program.

Weaver became the team’s everyday shortstop early in the season, finishing with a .392 batting average, three home runs, eight doubles, 14 runs batted in (RBIs), and 29 runs scored. She also stole ten bases and had a .488 on-base percentage. Defensively, she recorded 46 assists and 38 putouts. Weaver was also selected for the second team All-Conference in her first year.
Senior Gia Miccio was chosen as a first team All-Conference selection. Miccio ended her senior year with a .381 batting average, one home run, twelve doubles, three triples, 29 RBIs, and 28 runs scored. She set program records with twenty stolen bases in twenty-one attempts and a nineteen-game hitting streak during the season. Defensively, she made seventy-seven putouts with only one error.
Sophomore Alyssa Edwards joined Weaver on the second team after hitting nine home runs to tie a program record and posting twelve doubles along with thirty-four RBIs. Three more players—junior Adelie Beebe (third team), senior Anita Farkash (third team), and senior Carly Mayhood (third team)—were recognized for their contributions both offensively and defensively throughout the season.
Junior Bridget Bernard was named to the CNE Community Service Team after missing play due to injury but serving as president-elect of SAAC for next year.
