The Sacred Heart University women’s bowling team concluded its 2025-26 season on April 17 during the second day of the Intercollegiate Team Championships, which took place at the Ashwaubenon Bowling Alley in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

The tournament marked the end of a competitive year for Sacred Heart, with both team and individual bowlers participating in national events. The team’s performance reflects their continued presence in collegiate bowling competitions.

Two Pioneers bowlers, Hope Tafolla and Karleigh LeMond, competed in the Intercollegiate Singles Championships that began on April 14. Tafolla secured a win against Kenzi Nieman from Rochester Christian but was later defeated by Leah Brazier of Indiana Tech. LeMond lost her match to Bricey Caudill of Tennessee Wesleyan.

Three Sacred Heart athletes—Tafolla, Megan Prettyman, and Madilyn Yockel—were recognized as Honorable Mention All-Americans by the National Collegiate Bowling Coaches Association during the event. In team play at the ITC, Sacred Heart won its opening match against Saint Vincent College with a narrow 4-3 victory but then lost to North Carolina A&T and subsequently to Maryville University in consolation play.

With this result, Sacred Heart’s season comes to an end after competing among top collegiate teams and earning individual honors.
