The Quinnipiac women’s track and field team concluded its pre-Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference schedule on May 2, competing at the Carisella and Donahue Coaches Invitational hosted by Northeastern in Boston.

The event was notable for several strong performances by Quinnipiac athletes. Nyasia Dailey won the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.80 seconds, securing the team’s only victory of the day. Kiera Baxter finished fifth in the same event, clocking in at 12.37 seconds, while Sydney Lavelle also placed fifth in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 14.82 seconds.

In field events, Lauren Boyd achieved a mark of 5.49 meters in her second attempt at the long jump, earning fourth place among competitors. Zoe Merryman delivered one of the day’s standout performances by running an 800-meter race in exactly two minutes and fourteen seconds—an effort that ranks as the eighth-fastest time for that distance in program history.

Looking ahead, Quinnipiac will compete next at the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Championships scheduled for May 9-10 on Mount St. Mary’s campus. The Bobcats are set to begin their events with women’s javelin at 1:00 p.m., followed by track trials starting at 1:20 p.m.
