Quinnipiac women’s tennis won the 2026 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Women’s Tennis Championship on April 26, defeating Mount St. Mary’s 4-0 at Princeton University Racquet and Fieldhouse. The victory gives Quinnipiac its second consecutive MAAC title and ninth overall.

The win highlights Quinnipiac’s strong performance in the conference, having now secured four championships in the last five seasons. The Bobcats took an early lead by winning the doubles point, with Vera Sekerina and Anagha Shankar earning a 6-3 win at No. 2 doubles, followed by Caitlin Flower and Willow Renton clinching a 6-4 victory at No. 1 doubles.

In singles play, Shankar extended the lead with a straight-sets win at No. 4 singles, while Isabella Baker added another straight-set victory at No. 3 singles to put Quinnipiac one point away from securing the title. Sekerina then clinched the championship for her team with a win over Isabella Pescatore at No. 5 singles.

With this result, Quinnipiac improved its overall record to 18-6 and completed a perfect season in conference play for the second year in a row, finishing with a 10-0 record against MAAC opponents. Sekerina was named Most Outstanding Performer of the tournament after going undefeated during championship weekend.

The Bobcats have now won nine league championships: previously in seasons including from 2013-14 through to this most recent campaign, marking continued dominance within their conference.

Looking ahead, Quinnipiac will represent the MAAC as an automatic qualifier for the NCAA Division I Women’s Tennis Championship. The team’s next opponent and match time will be announced on April 27 during the Division I Women’s Tennis Selection Show.
