The Quinnipiac women’s tennis team completed a perfect Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) regular season on Apr. 18, defeating Niagara 6-1 at home and remaining undefeated in both conference play and home matches.

This result marks the second consecutive year that the Bobcats have finished their MAAC regular season without a loss. The team’s strong performance highlights their consistency and dominance within the conference.

Willow Renton and Caitlin Flower secured their fifth straight doubles victory, while Caroline Schulson and Isabella Sicignano also contributed to winning the doubles point for Quinnipiac. In singles competition, Renton, Flower, Schulson, Vera Sekerina, and Anagha Shankar each recorded wins to help seal the match. Renton improved her MAAC singles record to 8-0 this season with a nine-match winning streak overall. Sekerina also went undefeated in conference singles play with a final record of 6-0.

The Bobcats now hold an overall record of 16-6 and an unblemished mark of 8-0 in the MAAC. This victory earned them their fifth regular season championship title since the 2020-21 campaign. The team has extended its current win streak to eleven matches and has won sixteen consecutive MAAC contests dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Quinnipiac enters the upcoming MAAC tournament as the top seed. The Bobcats will compete in semifinal action on Friday, April 24 at 10:00 a.m., awaiting their opponent as they seek further postseason success.
