The Quinnipiac women’s golf team finished the first day of play at the Ann Arbor Regional with a score of 309 (+25) on May 11 at the University of Michigan Golf Course.
This regional tournament is an important step for teams and individual golfers aiming to advance in NCAA postseason competition. The results from each round can determine which teams move forward.
Natalie Spiska led Quinnipiac after the opening round, finishing with a score of 73 (+2). Spiska began her NCAA Regionals play by shooting a 33 (-2) on the back nine and was tied for third in the field with five birdies. Sophia Fujita, making her second appearance at an NCAA Regional, posted a score of 76 (+5), starting her round with a steady performance over her first nine holes. Vaidehi Shah shot a 78 (+7), while Marisa Flores and Samantha Galantini both recorded scores of 82 (+11) to complete Quinnipiac’s lineup.
The Bobcats are scheduled to continue their participation in the regional tournament on May 12, with tee times between 8:55 AM and 9:39 AM. Individual and team results can be accessed through provided links.
