The Quinnipiac men’s tennis team achieved its first sweep of the season over Niagara on Apr. 18, winning back-to-back Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) matches at home.

This result is significant as it improves Quinnipiac’s conference record to 5-3 and marks a strong performance in both singles and doubles play.

In doubles, the pairs Carlos Braun Simo and Alessandro Sciacca, along with Csanad Nyaradi and Vishal Prakash, won their matches to secure the opening point for Quinnipiac. Nyaradi and Prakash have now claimed seven wins in their last eight doubles matches. In singles competition, Braun Simo, Sciacca, Prakash, Nyaradi, and Finn Burridge all recorded straight-set victories. Elias Hoxha completed the sweep with a three-set win.

The match statistics show that Braun Simo/Sciacca notched their eighth doubles win this season while Nyaradi/Prakash earned their ninth overall and seventh in eight recent contests. Individually, Braun Simo improved his singles record to 11-4 by winning seven of his last eight matches. Hoxha and Sciacca each picked up their eighth singles victory this year; Prakash secured his fifth; Nyaradi claimed his sixth; Burridge added his fourth.
