The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) will hold a public informational meeting about proposed traffic operation improvements at the intersection of Route 63, Route 202, and Route 118 in Litchfield. The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. at Litchfield Intermediate School. The venue is ADA accessible.
The purpose of the meeting is to discuss current conditions, consider possible solutions, and gather feedback from the public before starting the project. The proposal is still in early concept development. No funding or timeline has been set for the project. A question and answer session will follow the presentation. Details on how to access the meeting and submit comments are available at portal.ct.gov/DOTLitchfield0073-0018.
“This meeting is an opportunity for the project team to share conceptual plans and engage with the community before an official project is initiated. This project will improve safety and traffic operations around the Litchfield Green, while also improving multimodal connections,” said Connecticut Department of Transportation Project Manager Andrew Correia. “We encourage the public to attend this meeting to share their feedback with the CTDOT project team.”
Minor impacts to private property are expected due to sidewalk realignment, but there are no anticipated effects on Litchfield Green.
Language assistance can be requested by calling (860) 594-2109 at least five business days before the meeting. Assistance is free and efforts will be made to accommodate timely requests.
Comments and questions from the public will be accepted during a two-week period after the meeting until April 14, 2026. Submissions can be sent by email to DOTProjectPP073-0018@ct.gov or by phone at (860) 594-2020; reference Project No. PP73-18 when submitting feedback.
