Join us for this discussion of Dostoyevsky’s last, and possibly greatest, novel, The Brothers Karamazov! Compelling, profound and complex, it is the story of the pariarch Karamazov and his three sons who each had a motive for murder: Dmitri, the sensualist; Ivan, the intellectual; Alyosha, the mystic; and the cunning and twisted bastard son Smerdyakov. Dostoyevsky plunges the reader into a sordid love triangle, a pathological obsession, and a gripping courtroom drama. Filled with human passions-lust, greed, jealousy, sorrow, and humor-the novel is also infused with moral issues and the issue of collective guilt.
