Joshua Bailey, 46, of Milford was sentenced on Mar. 12 to 144 months in federal prison and ten years of supervised release for enticing a minor to engage in sexual activity, according to David X. Sullivan, United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut.

The case underscores ongoing efforts by law enforcement and the justice system to address crimes involving child exploitation and protect minors from abuse.

According to court documents and statements made in court, Bailey pressured Elizabeth Jordan into engaging in sexual activity with a minor on March 12, 2024. Jordan then livestreamed the incident to Bailey using Facebook Messenger. A search of Bailey’s phone revealed screenshots documenting the act.

Bailey and Jordan were arrested in August 2024 on related state charges. Both pleaded guilty on November 3, 2025, in federal court to enticement of a minor for illegal sexual activity. U.S. District Judge Sarala V. Nagala ordered Bailey to pay $5,000 under the Justice for Victims of Trafficking Act of 2015 and $10,000 under the Amy, Vicky, and Andy Child Pornography Victim Assistance Act of 2018.

Jordan, who is from West Haven and is now age 43, is awaiting sentencing.

The investigation was conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and West Haven Police Department. Assistant U.S. Attorney Edward Chang prosecuted the case.

This prosecution falls under Project Safe Childhood Initiative by the U.S. Department of Justice which focuses on protecting children from sexual abuse and exploitation. More information about Project Safe Childhood can be found at www.justice.gov/psc.
