A Hartford man has won the top prize in the CT Lottery’s “$4,000,000 Fortune” scratch game, securing a $4 million jackpot. The winning ticket was purchased at the Mobil gas station located on Weston Street in Hartford.

The winner has been playing the “$4,000,000 Fortune” game since its launch in December 2023. He expressed excitement over finally achieving his goal, describing the moment he realized his win as counting the zeros on the ticket.

The winner plans to use the lottery prize to pursue a higher education degree, aiming to “reset his life” with this newfound opportunity.

In addition to the jackpot, the Mobil gas station will receive a $40,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket. The CT Lottery acknowledges this as one of the benefits for retail partners involved in lottery sales.

One more $4,000,000 top prize is still available in the “$4,000,000 Fortune” game, which has overall odds of 1 in 2.38 of winning. Players must be 18 or older to participate, and support is offered for those experiencing problem gambling through a helpline at (888) 789-7777 or online at ccpg.org.
