Connecticut saw 14 FDA inspections at 14 different food and cosmetics companies in the first quarter of 2026, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

These inspections represented the highest number conducted by the FDA for any single industry type in Connecticut, accounting for 60.9% of all inspections during that period.

Among the food and cosmetics companies in Connecticut, Jordan Paige Food Enterprises, Inc. received the largest number of FDA citations in the first quarter of 2026.

The FDA routinely inspects facilities across the nation to determine if the workplace and their products are compliant with FDA-regulated laws and regulations implemented to improve overall public health. Inspection results are then disclosed publicly.

According to its website, the FDA is a government agency that is primarily responsible for monitoring the production and distribution of human and animal drugs, biological products, medical supplies and tobacco products for safety and quality.
