Fairfield University Women’s Lacrosse will play against Siena College in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Championship Game at Conway Field at Rafferty Stadium, with the match scheduled for Sunday, May 3 at 11 a.m. The game will be broadcast live on ESPNU and called by Cooper Boardman and Kylie Ohlmiller.

This appearance marks Fairfield’s ninth consecutive trip to the MAAC Championship Game and its seventeenth overall. The Stags have won nine out of their previous sixteen appearances in the final and are seeking their tenth tournament title as well as a tenth NCAA postseason berth. They have qualified for the NCAA Tournament every year since 2019, including an at-large bid in 2024.

The team enters this championship after securing its seventeenth MAAC Regular Season Championship, finishing conference play with an undefeated record of eight wins. This season is also their fourth straight regular season crown and seventh out of the last eight years. In Friday’s semifinal round, Fairfield defeated Quinnipiac University by a score of 13-9, with Tessa Caputo contributing five points and Whitney Robinson making twelve saves.

Fairfield has played most games within Connecticut since March, with only one league road game outside state lines—an April visit to Rider University. The Stags have faced Siena in six of the last seven postseasons but have won all six playoff meetings during that stretch.

Head Coach Laura Field is leading her eleventh campaign with Fairfield and was named MAAC Coach of the Year for a third time this season. She has guided Fairfield to six MAAC Championships as head coach and seven NCAA postseason appearances. With two more wins this weekend, Field would surpass Scott Teeter for most MAAC Women’s Lacrosse titles by a head coach.

Looking ahead, if Fairfield secures another championship win under Field’s leadership, it would set new records both for her coaching career and for the program.
