Malena del Olmo, Ola Irla Bartyzel and Olivia Zuba from the Sacred Heart University Women’s Tennis team were named to the College Sport Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District team, according to a May 13 announcement.

The recognition highlights student-athletes who excel both academically and athletically. To be eligible for nomination, students must maintain at least a 3.50 grade point average on a 4.0 scale and participate in at least 75 percent of their institution’s days of competition. Regional competitions such as ITAs and non-team scored events are not counted toward this requirement.

This honor reflects the commitment of del Olmo, Bartyzel, and Zuba to balancing rigorous academic standards with athletic responsibilities. The CSC Academic All-District distinction is considered an important achievement for collegiate athletes striving for excellence in both areas.

The announcement underscores the ongoing efforts by Sacred Heart University to support its student-athletes in reaching high standards on the court and in the classroom.

Looking ahead, recipients of this award may become eligible for further recognition at higher levels within college sports organizations.
