Eligible voters encouraged to check and update registration
CONNECTICUT—Common Cause in Connecticut encourages all eligible and current voters to either register or update their registration on National Voter Registration Day, Tuesday, Sept. 17.
Residents should register this week if they:
– Turn 18 on or before Election Day, Tues. November 5
– Have recently moved to Connecticut
– Live in Connecticut but haven’t voted in the state before
Even those who are already registered voters should double-check and update their registration by visiting the Secretary of the State’s website.
Common Cause in Connecticut is a member of the nation’s largest election protection program designed to ensure all voters can freely and fairly cast a ballot. Trained, nonpartisan volunteers are available to assist voters with any challenges or questions leading up to and on election day.

“Elections offer us a chance to hold power accountable and vote for the kind of future we want for ourselves, our families, and our communities,” said Cheri Quickmire, Executive Director of Common Cause in Connecticut. “But we can’t do that unless our registration is up to date and complete. We hope every eligible voter in Connecticut joins the hundreds of thousands across the country who are registering to vote for a stronger future for us all.”
Key Voting Dates:
October 18: Deadline to register to vote by mail, at the DMV, online, and in-person
October 21–31: Early voting available from 10am–6pm; from 8am–8pm on October 29 and October 31
November 1–3: Early voting available from 10am–6pm
November 5: General Election
