The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) will hold a virtual public information meeting on November 6, 2025, to discuss the replacement of two bridges over Interstate 91 in Enfield. The meeting will focus on Bridge No. 01274, which carries Pleasant Road, and Bridge No. 01275, which carries Depot Hill Road.
The purpose of the meeting is to inform the public about the project and gather feedback from residents and stakeholders. Registration is required to attend the Zoom session. Following the presentation, there will be a question and answer segment that will be recorded for later viewing. Instructions for joining the meeting and submitting comments are available at portal.ct.gov/DOTEnfield0048-0202.
“This project will address the structural deficiencies for both bridges to create new service lives and improve safety all roadway users,” said Connecticut Department of Transportation Project Manager Francisco Fadul. “We encourage the public to attend this meeting to share their feedback with the CTDOT project team to incorporate into the design.”
According to CTDOT, right-of-way impacts related to this work may include partial property takes, slope easements, drainage rights of way, as well as temporary construction easements.
Construction is expected to begin in spring 2028 if funding is secured, rights of way are obtained, and necessary permits are approved. The estimated cost for replacing both bridges is about $30 million. Funding for this project is planned at an 80% federal and 20% state split.
