The project will include replacing the superstructure and repairing the substructure to improve the bridge’s condition. The department said design work is expected to finish by September 2029, with construction anticipated to begin in spring 2030, pending project approval, funding availability, and required permits. Funding for this project will come from both federal sources at eighty percent and state sources at twenty percent.
