Members of the Connecticut Bar Association gathered on April 30 for a networking event called Line Dancing for Lawyers at the Ebony Horsewomen Inc. Equestrian and Therapeutic Center in Hartford.
The event provided an opportunity for legal professionals and law students to step away from their daily routines and connect with colleagues through a guided line dancing lesson. Attendees, regardless of prior dance experience, received instruction that allowed everyone to participate comfortably. The informal atmosphere encouraged both new and long-standing CBA members to interact, relax, and try something different.
The Connecticut Bar Association fosters community well-being through free legal advice and pro bono representation, runs the CBA Law Center to support its programs, partners with the Connecticut Bar Institute for educational and charitable efforts, reaches more than 7,000 members statewide, promotes the legal profession as a nonprofit member service entity dedicated to upholding principles of justice, and is guided by its president alongside the Board of Governors and House of Delegates, according to the official website.
Events like Line Dancing for Lawyers reflect ongoing efforts by the association to create engaging experiences that help build connections within Connecticut’s legal community. These activities are part of broader initiatives designed to promote inclusivity while supporting professional growth among members.
