Cole Cashion of the No. 12 Yale men’s lacrosse team was named to the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Team of the Week, according to an announcement on Apr. 15.
Cashion received this recognition after scoring a career-high five goals in Yale’s upset win over No. 5 Harvard last Saturday. This performance marked his first multi-goal game of the season and played a key role in helping Yale secure victories against two top-10 teams.
The USILA Division I Team of the Week for Apr. 15 includes athletes from several programs across the country, with Cashion representing Yale as a junior midfielder from Rumson, New Jersey.
Other players selected include Michael Allieri from Boston University, Rory Connor from Georgetown, Caleb Fyock from Ohio State, Brady O’Kane from Brown, Ian Olenik from Providence, Chad Palumbo and Hunter Spiess from Princeton, Nate Schwitzenberg from Notre Dame, and Will Zylstra from Mercer.
Looking ahead, Cashion and his teammates will host UAlbany for Senior Day on Saturday at 4 p.m.
