Caroline Ducharme, a redshirt senior from the University of Connecticut women’s basketball team, signed a training camp contract with the Golden State Valkyries, according to an announcement on April 15.
Ducharme’s move comes after a notable collegiate career that included winning the national championship in 2025. She played in 92 games for UConn, averaging 5.8 points and 2.7 rebounds per game.
During her time at UConn, Ducharme was recognized for her performance by being named to the All-BIG EAST Second Team and the BIG EAST All-Freshman Team in 2022. That season she averaged nearly ten points per game along with over three rebounds and maintained a field goal percentage of 45.5 percent.
She also competed in three NCAA Final Fours and two National Championship games while at UConn.
