Mickyeem Profit, a 22-year-old resident of Bridgeport, was sentenced on March 11 to 102 months in prison and three years of supervised release for his role in a series of armed robberies targeting retail stores and an Amazon delivery truck in December 2022, according to David X. Sullivan, United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut.
The sentencing follows a string of violent incidents that affected several businesses and individuals. The case highlights ongoing concerns about gun violence and threats to public safety in local communities.
Court documents show that Profit, along with others, carried out gunpoint robberies at Omega Deli in Bridgeport on December 15, Milford Convenience & Tobacco in Milford on December 21, an Amazon delivery truck in Bridgeport on December 23, and Smoke Shop in Bridgeport also on December 23. Associates of Profit were also involved in a robbery at Cumberland Farms in Stratford on January 2, 2023. During these crimes, the perpetrators entered businesses with firearms, threatened employees, forced victims to the ground, and stole money and property. At one location, Profit stepped on a victim while holding a gun to her head; during the Amazon truck robbery, he and his accomplices forced the driver into the back of the vehicle at gunpoint where they assaulted him.
Profit has been detained since his arrest on January 2, 2023. He pleaded guilty on October 2, 2025 to one count of interference with commerce by robbery (Hobbs Act robbery) and one count of carrying, using, and brandishing a firearm during and in relation to a crime of violence.
The investigation was conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation along with police departments from Bridgeport, Stratford, and Milford. Assistant U.S. Attorney Nathaniel J. Gentile is prosecuting the case.
The outcome underscores law enforcement’s efforts to address violent crime involving firearms within Connecticut communities.
